Andrew Wells, PE is a Technical Engineer in the Bridge Design Section at the Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities. In this role, he is responsible for the design, load rating, and inspection of structures throughout Alaska as well as research development and review. His recent design projects have focused on the seismic design of new bridges and seismic retrofit of existing bridges. Andrew is a team leader for bridge and tunnel inspections and has inspected nearly two thirds of the state's bridge inventory to date, including a majority of the Alaska Marine Highway System ferry terminals. He also manages the state's consultant bridge, ferry terminal, and tunnel inspection contract.
