Christine Honeybone, P.E.

Christine Honeybone, PE is a Senior Civil Engineer with the Engineering Division at the Port of Los Angeles. Christine is the Section Head of the Waterfront Section which manages public access projects to develop and enhance the LA Waterfront, such as San Pedro Waterfront Promenade Phase II, Wilmington Waterfront Promenade, and Avalon Pedestrian Bridge and Gateway for the Wilmington Waterfront.

Christine graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and received a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles. Her career began in the private industry over 21 years ago, but she has been with the Port for the last 20 years.

In addition to her regular work responsibilities, Christine enjoys speaking to the youth of her Port communities by involving herself in outreach programs such as E-week presentations and career days. She also spends time giving back to her alma mater by participating in LMU’s Civil Engineering Council for Industry Partnerships as a group of alumni that network and mentor the students, as well as work with the faculty and staff to further develop the school’s Civil Engineering Department.
