Doug is the Principal / Owner of Marine Corrosion Solutions, LLC where he serves as a corrosion consultant.
Doug has a degree in Metallurgical Engineering with a minor in Physical Metallurgy from Michigan Technological University.
He has over 30 years of corrosion experience solving corrosion related issues on marine and waterfront structures.
He is the Co-inventor for the LifeJacket Galvanic Cathodic Protection System with over 40,000 successful installations worldwide.
He is an active member of (AMPP) Association for Materials Protection and Performance (formerly NACE), where he serves on (12) Technical Committees; and actively participates in ACI, ICRI, ASCE and ASM organizations.
He is the author of numerous articles, papers, and publications regarding cathodic protection on steel reinforced concrete structures in marine environments.
