Justin J. Pyun, PE, SE is a Senior Consulting Engineer with Simpson Gumpertz & Heger Inc. with over 13 years of structural engineering experience. He has diverse experience in the marine, heavy civil, and buildings industries. His work experience includes new design and retrofit of waterfront structures and buildings, inspection of marine facilities, condition and seismic risk assessments, and the design of excavations, retaining walls, and foundation systems. His technical expertise includes seismic analysis and design of marine infrastructure using performance-based techniques. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and has published and presented several papers on waterfront structures and terminals to the Structural Engineers Association of California (SEAOC) and ASCE’s Coasts, Oceans, Ports, and Rivers Institute (COPRI).
