After graduating in civil engineering Henk Voogt has started his career in the design and construction of several quay walls in Rotterdam. Since 2002 he holds a position as asset manager marine structures at the Port of Rotterdam. In this position he is among others from the beginning involved in investigating and solving the problem of corrosion in Rotterdam. Besides that he was program manager of the refurbishment and useful lifetime extension of the old quay walls in the Port of Rotterdam. More recently Henk Voogt was involved in the development of Port of Rotterdam‘s state of the art asset management tool KMS and is currently managing the Integrated Asset Management program.
