Patricio Monárdez has more than 20 years’ experience in port and coastal engineering. He serves as the Business Unit Leader of the firm’s Santiago, Chile office. His background includes technical and project management roles for the private sector and professional engineering consulting companies. Patricio has strong engineering managerial capabilities, supported on a sound technical background. He has been involved in several projects in Chile, Peru, Brazil, Argentina, Australia, Africa, India, Canada, and the Caribbean. He has coordinated, supervised, and developed several types of studies for industrial ports and coastal infrastructure, including tsunami risk assessments, estimates downtime in ports, wave climates, design of port infrastructure and coastal protection works, outfalls/intakes, conceptual and basic engineering. Prior to Moffatt & Nichol, he was the engineering manager of AndesLNG, a large infrastructure energy project in northern Chile, with a value of USD 1billion.
