Julian 18 years of experience in the engineering consulting field for a variety of maritime-related industries including bulk-handling facilities, container terminals, general cargo terminals, LNG/LPG, and oil/product terminals. He has participated in over 75 Canadian and international marine development projects, including site selection studies, early planning, concept and detailed design, implementation support, facility inspections and maintenance repairs, and infrastructure upgrade projects.
With a background in structural-marine engineering, and fluid in English and Spanish, Julian has performed in a variety of professional roles in the consulting engineering industry for several multi-disciplinary projects around the world, including roles as owner's engineer, technical discipline lead, and project manager. He has also participated in the development of design guidelines for marine structures for the Canadian Standards Association (CSA), including CSA SPE-276.1:20, and CSA EXP276.2:19, and is currently a code committee member for the upcoming ASCE Standard for the Design of Piers and Wharves.
