Matheus Miranda, Structural PE, holds a Civil Engineering degree from the Federal University of Paraíba (Brazil) and a master’s from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. With 8 years of experience, he is a Structural Engineer and Project Manager at Moffatt & Nichol, specializing in waterfront structures across the U.S., including piers, wharves, mooring systems, and retaining walls. His experience includes designing facilities for the U.S. Navy, East and West Coast ports, and bridge rehabilitation projects. Currently, Matheus focuses on Offshore Wind Port development, Shore Power systems, and air emission control solutions for California ports.
He is an active member of the ASCE/COPRI Piers and Wharves Committee, OCIMF Capture and Control Working Group, MarCom Shore Power Working Group, and serves as President of the SEI Norfolk Branch.
Highlighted Projects: New London State Pier Infrastructure, Portsmouth Marine Terminal, Dry Dock 4 Renovation, Shore Power and Capture and Control solutions for multiple California ports.
