Konrad Mech, CD, P.Eng., PMP, BEng, BA, MBA
Konrad Mech is Principal of Clear Horizon Consultants based in North Vancouver, BC, Canada. He previously served as Sales Director – Coasts, Ports and Inland Waterways with Kongsberg Discovery Canada Ltd, a world leader in acoustic technology for underwater intervention, deep sea construction, marine engineering and site inspection, hydrography, ocean sciences, and defense applications. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the provinces of Ontario and British Columbia (non-practicing), and a Project Management Professional certified by the Project Management Institute. He graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada and attained the rank of Major in the Royal Canadian Artillery Active Reserves. He also holds a BA with a major in Commerce from University of Toronto and Masters of Business Administration with Distinction from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers’ Coasts, Oceans, Ports and Rivers Institute’s Ports and Harbors Committee. Konrad has spoken at the International Harbour Masters’ Association, UK Ports Conference, Maritime Security East Conference, Western Dredging Association Annual and Chapter Conferences and delivered a live webinar on Project Management Leadership for the Project Management Institute. Most recently he presented in the dredging stream at PIANC’s World Congress in Cape Town, South Africa.
