Ms. Sue Lai, PE is a Harbor Engineer for the Port of Los Angeles Engineering Division specializing in the planning and design of container terminals, transportation networks, and waterfront development. She manages the Port’s Waterfront Development and Terminal Development Programs consisting of $345 million of capital development in the next five years. Ms. Lai has over 30 years of experience working for the City of Los Angeles.

Ms. Lai is a second generation engineer and holds both Civil Engineering and Traffic Engineering professional licenses with the State of California. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Irvine and a Master of Leadership from the University of Southern California.
