Julie A. Galbraith, P.E. is a California Registered Professional Engineer, and an Associate Principal with Simpson Gumpertz and Heger, Inc. Julie has 15 years of professional engineering experience in the maritime industry, including the structural design of new marine terminals, seismic retrofits, condition assessments, maintenance and repair plans, and mooring and berthing systems. She has completed numerous seismic assessments for piers and wharves, with specialized experience in performance-based analysis. Additionally, Julie has provided construction support services to owners and contractors. She has collaborated on large project teams for various maritime ports, serving both private industry and public access.
Julie received her Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines, and her Master of Science degree in Structural Engineering from the University of California, at Berkeley.
