Dr. Rahmani has broad geotechnical and earthquake engineering background in design and analysis of foundation supports for residential buildings, industrial warehouses, harbor structures and large complex ports. With over 10 years of experience, he is involved in projects of Port of Los Angeles (POLA), Port of Long Beach (POLB), Port of San Francisco and U.S. Naval Facilities. His areas of expertise are; design of ground improvement systems (deep soil mixing, stone column, etc.), design of shallow and deep foundations, slope stability, liquefaction and lateral spread evaluations, and seismic hazard analysis (SHA). He has a broad experience in application of advanced numerical approaches such as finite element method (FEM) to improve reliability of design calculations and to provide cost-effective designs.
