Elizabeth Washburn is an Associate Project Consultant in the Structural Engineering department at Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH). Elizabeth graduated with a B.S. in Architectural Engineering in May 2020 and M.S.E in Structural Engineering in December of 2021. She obtained both degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. During her graduate program, Elizabeth researched probabilistic approaches for assessing berthing velocities using simulations and statistical modeling. After graduation, Elizabeth joined SGH where she performs structural analysis of marine, refinery, and building structures. She also performs operational and seismic pipe stress analysis for fuel facilities. Elizabeth is currently an Engineer in Training (EIT) and is working toward becoming a registered Civil Engineer.
