Alfredo Rivera, P.E., ENV SP, is a Senior Consulting Engineer with SGH's Heavy Civil and Marine division. Alfredo has 12 years of civil engineering experience that includes the planning, analysis, design, and evaluation of new and existing marine infrastructure projects, including liquid terminals, container terminals, solid bulk handling terminals, liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals, cruise terminals, and breakbulk facilities. His experience includes planning, development of design criteria, operational and seismic design, analysis of shallow and deep foundation systems, earth retention structures, heavy duty paving, soil-structure interaction, global and slope stability, and fender and mooring analysis and design for a wide variety of marine infrastructure. Alfredo has overseen the preparation of bid documentation, design drawings, technical specifications, construction cost estimates, technical reports, has managed project budgets, and provided technical support during bid and construction phases of maritime projects. Alfredo is also involved in business development efforts in the Gulf and Latin America.
