Lori Izakelian, P.E., is a Senior Civil Engineer in the Program Management Division of the Port of Long Beach. Lori has served the Long Beach Harbor Department since 2017 within the Construction Management and Program Management Divisions. She is a licensed professional engineer and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Irvine and a Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering from California State University, Fullerton. With over a decade of experience, she has managed capital improvement projects within the Middle Harbor Redevelopment Program, involving dredging, wharf construction, terminal redevelopment and zero emissions infrastructure improvements, and managed construction of a connector bridge in the Gerald Desmond Bridge footprint. She is more recently involved in project management and terminal master planning within the Port’s Zero Emissions Energy Resilient Operations Policy, having overseen pilot projects with emerging charging station technologies. Lori is committed to sustainability practices in this industry, and has a background in public and private low impact development design and water quality management.
