Ceasar Duarte, Director of Engineering and Operations

Ceasar Duarte joined the New Bedford Port Authority (“NBPA”) at the beginning of 2019 as the Director of Engineering and Operations. For the past few years, Ceasar has been instrumental in the Port of New Bedford’s revitalization. Having a strong engineering, project, and construction management background, Ceasar is responsible for many activities at the Port including coordinating, organizing, and managing all, engineering, construction, inspection, dredging, and maintenance activities of the NBPA. He is also a vital part of the Port’s team supervising all city-owned waterfront properties – 21 commercial properties, , municipal fishing piers and offloading docks, 198 slip marina, parking areas, and boat ramps.

Ceasar holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth and has acquired several certifications including, but not limited to, the International Association of Maritime and Port Executives (IAMPE) as Maritime Port Executive (MPE). He has 19 years of experience in engineering and construction management of large infrastructure projects, including port projects.
